{Random...}

I wish...

I could afford one of these:

I wish...

I could take a trip and visit this place:

and I wish...

We could go back to these days:

Okay, enough wishing...uh...

So, I'm eating one of these right now:

"When you can't decide between salty and sweet, grab a Take 5."

That could be their next slogan. Write that down.

And I just came to a realization that they don't make these anymore:

It totally shatters my entire universe.

Whenever I need a good laugh, this kid knows just how to make it happen:

p.s. I know it looks creepy. That's because, well, it is.

I really like this picture:

It's amazing how one picture can say so many things.

And bring back so many memories...

Waiting in line to see Pirates 3. We get bored sometimes.

Lake Powell '07. Riding the tube for the first time in 12 years. Scared to death.

So mean. Ha!

Senior Trip '07. Park City.

Chanda's birthday. Freshman year in college.

When the power goes out. (A moment that shall live in our hearts forever..)

Meeting the Jonas Brothers! That's right kids. This is real.

Mr. Sir that got in the way while I was trying to take a picture of my main man CJ Miles.

Winning a Jazz contest and getting to work in the TV truck and realizing the career I want. Broadcasting Director.

Meeting the Rockies mascot, Dinger. I know, right?

Tuesday Night Bowling! Summer 2009.

Getting fake tattoos from the Ogden Pizzeria.

Cleaning the sink at Angie's. (I'm pretty much sick by this point in the ice cream eating process.)

Just after meeting my roommate, Lauren, last fall '09.

Random trip to Colorado over Labor Day last year. I know I look like a ghetto hosebeast, but don't judge. It was really early in the morning.

GwillTayCoLick.

Summer '10, chillin' at the pool.

And this is just the other day...but it's still a memory, right?

Wow, I've been working on this blog forever... Time to go get a life...

And make more memories.

Cheeserrrrrrr!!!!

{Playing Mom}

Wanna see some of the greatest kids in the world? Well, you're lookin' at 'em.

I had the privilege of tending my cousins while my aunt and uncle were out of town for a few days.

Waking up at 6 every morning to get them up for school wasn't that bad. I honestly can't remember the last time I woke up that early for 4 consecutive days. Sad. After I got the kids off to school, it was time for me to go to school. Ahh, nothing like the smell and sight of mutilated skunk in the morning. Anyway, after I got done with classes, I would head back to their house and take them to their after school activities. Gymnastics, football, etc. Then I would pick them up, come home, fix dinner, go to bed (with a little fun mixed in there.) Exciting, right?

It was great to be able to spend time with them. From laughing for a good 20 minutes over a video of us 2 years ago to eating a pan of my killer brownies in ten minutes, I'd say we had a pretty good time. They never fail to put a smile on my face with their funny antics.

I'm so grateful to have family in Logan. When times get hard it's so good to be able to see familiar faces that I know and love. They do so much for me and I'm always willing to return the favor.

"Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind."

Gotta love that movie!

Side note: Missing me some Tayler today. I could really use a 'buddy to buddy' chat right about now.

Love and miss you, Grampa. ♥

{Indescribable}

Words can not describe this place. I don't know if it's the ghetto 60's furniture, the fact that there isn't any running water, or the luxurious outhouse; I love this place.

My family and I spent Labor Day weekend at the Aardema family cabin. We had some other friends join us as well. It was a lot of fun. Saturday we went exploring to a small river where the men fly fished for a little while and the women relaxed and watched. As I sat there enjoying nature I realized how beautiful it is:

Photo-op! So beautiful!

After the guys were done fly fishing, we drove to Mirror Lake to do a little lake fishing. My sister and I had a competition to see who could catch the most fish. I caught 4 & she caught 5. Dang.

On Sunday we rode the 4-wheelers up to Lily Lake and went fishing. It was a bumpy ride but so much fun! My hair was covered in dirt. Yummy. I didn't catch any fish that day and Jaycee caught 3! What kind of bait is she using?!

Jaycee with her 3rd catch of the day. I'm in the background pouting.

We sat around the fire every night. I love sitting around the fire. And roasting marshmallows! Mmmmm!

It was nice to get away for a couple days. You're basically excluded from the outside world. No phone service, no running water, no indoor plumbing. But I don't feel lost without those things. I feel found. Haha that doesn't make sense. What I mean is being up there gives me a lot of time to think. About life. Now, I'm going to keep those thoughts to myself, but let's just say that my pondering was successful. :)

Sometimes we get so caught up in the world and forget what is truly important. What's most important to me? Family. Friends. The Gospel. I don't know what I would do without those three things in my life.

Now the weekend is over and it's back to the grind. But before I go, here's a little sneak peek into what our cabin is all 'bout! (from years past)

Wood burning fireplace. The only way to keep warm.

Cabin Breakfast!!

Lifetime supply of snacks.

Going up during winter time and having to park at the bottom and pull your stuff up on sleds.

Boiling snow to do the dishes.

The Loft!

Bambi's Dad.

The awesome 60's furniture!

And Thee Outhouse.

Who wants to go?!
No pun intended.
